The Backstory On Why I Wanted A Custom Apple Watch Band
2019 has been a challenging year for my family and me, with the most significant and scariest moment happening in early April when my husband was in a major ATV accident. Fear, an unknown future, along with many other emotions, swirled through my head. So many of my family and friends rallied around me with comfort and support. Some of those friends even sent gifts. I will forever be grateful to everyone who helped my family and me during that difficult time. One particular gift from Ciao Bella Boutique was a set of bracelets made from gemstones that represented different aspects of my life — what a fantastic and thoughtful gift. Though I don’t wear bracelets often because I live in my Apple Watch. If only there was a way to make a custom Apple Watch band.
Months had gone by, and my husband healed very well. Life, of course, threw us a few more things, like my knee replacement surgery. But hey, that’s what life does right? Sadly, I only wore my bracelets a few times despite my conscious efforts to wear them often. I really did want to wear the gemstone bracelets more often, as they did comfort me when I wore them. I just didn’t know how I was going to do it. One day in the Ciao Bella 🖤💀🖤 The Community on Facebook, there was a talk between a few of us community members with Francesca if she could make her beautiful creations into an Apple Watch band. I jumped right into that conversation, along with getting excited. The excitement was an understatement. I was elated. If she could do it (which really, I had no doubt), This could be the way I could finally wear my gift from all those months ago every day!

I’ll skip the minor details and jump to the final product. Francesca and her amazingly talented mind did it. She took my bracelets and not only made one custom gemstone Apple Watch band but two! First, a stunning pink and white two-band, open look. Second, a beautiful white and black two-band closed look. (almost looks like DNA) Adding two lobster claw clasps on each side makes these Apple Watch bands not only customizable but also interchangeable. Now I know your what you’re asking in your head, what is it connecting too. I bought these handy Apple Watch Adaptors in rose gold ( they have all different colors). These adaptors are what is used to attach the band to the Apple Watch!
I have been wearing my pink and white one ( shown above) for five days straight. The two band, opened look is definitely my preferred design of the two, and no, not just because it has pink in it! I find this design snug enough, so the watch doesn’t move but not so tight that it is uncomfortable. The other band fits a bit more snug, and I find myself only wearing that one for shorter time frames, but if you like a snugger fit go for that style! (shown below) I was asked about comfort while typing and doing other activities throughout my day. So far, this custom Apple Watch band has not given me any problems at all. I have even gone for walks, done light exercise, housework, and worked on my computer. I will be switching to my regular band for swimming but other than that, I only take this off for charging at night. I would suggest requesting on your order, smaller beads if you are concerned with the bulkiness at all.
